About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable web applications using React for front-end and Python for back-end services.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, data-driven services, and dashboards to surface equipment utilization and availability.
- Design and optimize SQL schemas, queries and data integrations for reliable reporting and analytics.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for cloud-native deployments.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver features and ensure operational readiness.
- Apply Generative AI tools to accelerate development tasks: prototyping, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Drive software engineering best practices: code quality, security, automated testing and maintainability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture and technical decisions.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong Python programming experience and experience building backend services.
- Solid React experience including component design, state management and responsive UIs.
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, automated testing and modern SDLC practices.
- Practical knowledge or exposure to Kubernetes, Docker and one or more cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred.
- Interest in leveraging Generative AI/LLM tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and scale the LETUS platform to optimize lab equipment utilization across the company. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable web applications, backend services, and cloud-native solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with at least 5 years of software development experience. Candidates must possess strong proficiency in Python, React, and SQL, along with experience in CI/CD and cloud-native development.
