Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and technical specifications.
- Design and execute manual and automated functional, non-functional, performance, stress, sanity, and customer-scenario tests.
- Create and maintain automated test suites in Java; integrate tests into CI pipelines.
- Test and validate backend integrations including TCP sockets, WebSocket, gRPC and APIs.
- Maintain and monitor test environments and tooling to ensure stable, repeatable runs.
- Perform bug triage, track defects, and produce clear root-cause analysis and impact assessments.
- Contribute to code reviews for test code and automation quality; refine test strategies for high-availability systems.
- Maintain test cases, traceability and reporting in Allure TestOps.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in Quality Assurance on backend projects; 2+ years troubleshooting Java applications.
- Proficient in Java for automation and familiar with test design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning, state transitions).
- Hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, plus knowledge of message brokers and async flows.
- Practical experience testing TCP/socket-based integrations (WebSocket, gRPC) and API testing.
- Strong SQL skills for backend validation and Linux CLI experience for environment troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated root-cause analysis skills in complex backend systems.
- Good English (B1+) and Russian communication skills.
- Comfortable using AI tools as core to workflow.
- Preferred: familiarity with binary protocols (FIX), Postgres/ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis, and trading/Forex domain experience.
