Responsibilities:
- Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput services in Rust for time-sensitive financial workloads.
- Build and maintain streaming pipelines, real-time event processing and feedback loops.
- Ensure correctness, testability and observability of core financial logic under strict SLAs.
- Profile, benchmark and optimize CPU, memory and network to meet latency and throughput targets.
- Collaborate on API design, data models and distributed system architecture with product and platform teams.
- Write and maintain high-quality tests, documentation and runbooks for production systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response and post-mortems.
Requirements:
- Strong Rust expertise: ownership, lifetimes, async, concurrency and error handling.
- Proven experience building production services with Docker, AWS and Terraform.
- Deep systems thinking: latency, backpressure, failure modes and throughput optimization.
- Experience with streaming/event-driven architectures and real-time pipelines.
- Strong testing discipline and familiarity with profiling/benchmarking tools.
- Degree in computer science or equivalent experience; excellent communication skills.
- Fintech or low-latency systems experience is a strong plus; familiarity with domain-driven design welcomed.
