Responsibilities:
- Design, build and scale distributed backend systems serving large user bases.
- Own end-to-end delivery: design, implement, deploy and monitor features and services.
- Architect low-latency, real-time APIs and AI-driven agent pipelines for metrics and reporting.
- Implement cloud-native Java services with focus on reliability, performance and scalability.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS, Docker and Kubernetes/ECS; enable CI/CD and GitOps.
- Ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, observability and performance tuning for high-throughput systems.
- Collaborate with product, infra and engineering teams; set technical direction and share best practices.

Requirements:
- 7+ years professional backend engineering experience in Java; proficient with modern Java (17+).
- Experience with Micronaut or Spring and designing scalable microservices architectures.
- Proven track record building low-latency, high-throughput systems at scale.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS), CI/CD and GitOps.
- Experience with distributed data systems (e.g. Apache Kafka), observability and performance tuning.
- Experience designing resilient, fault-tolerant systems and integrating AI/LLM pipelines is a plus.
- Clear communicator, strong technical judgement and ability to own components with minimal oversight.
