Responsibilities:
- Work directly with customers to gather requirements and design solutions that address real usage scenarios
- Design and implement scalable backend systems to support thousands of AI-driven phone conversations daily
- Build intuitive frontend experiences (TypeScript + React) suited for an AI-first product
- Own projects end-to-end: specification, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and post-release support
- Influence core architecture decisions, performance tuning, and reliability improvements
- Contribute to code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and engineering best practices
Requirements:
- 2+ years professional software engineering experience
- Strong PostgreSQL skills: complex queries, indexing, performance tuning, and schema design
- Proficiency with TypeScript and React; experience with Node.js and/or Python
- Experience building or operating async or real-time processing systems
- Proven ability to take projects from 0→1 and to ship product-quality features quickly
- Comfortable collaborating directly with customers and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Temporal.io, Twilio, or Modal is a plus
- This is an on-site role based in Berlin (full-time)
