Responsibilities:
- Own core backend systems that enable permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability across hosted and self-hosted deployments.
- Design and maintain deployment architectures using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Pulumi) for production environments.
- Improve system reliability, performance, security, and production operability.
- Partner with product and engineering to deliver features with strong quality, compliance, and audit trails.
- Drive AI-native backend practices and workflows to accelerate safe, repeatable delivery.
Requirements:
- 1–6 years of backend development experience.
- Proficient in TypeScript and NestJS for building backend services.
- Production experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform or Pulumi) and deployment automation.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment and owning production systems.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with workflow orchestration (e.g., Inngest), agentic frameworks, fintech/private-markets or enterprise SaaS experience.
