Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and grow a native mobile engineering team (Android and iOS) to become autonomous, agile and high-performing.
- Define and align team OKRs with product and business priorities; organise and prioritise delivery to meet goals.
- Drive technical direction and decision-making for mobile platforms focusing on performance, scalability and maintainability.
- Lead design and implementation of mobile features, enforce engineering best practices, code quality and observability.
- Own hiring, onboarding and career development; participate in recruitment to attract diverse talent.
- Manage stakeholders across feature teams to unblock delivery and ensure smooth cross-team collaboration.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience in at least one native mobile platform: Android (Kotlin, Coroutines, Compose, RxJava) and/or iOS (Swift, UIKit, Autolayout).
- Proven experience as an engineering manager leading delivery of complex mobile products and building teams.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritisation and decision-making skills; experience with OKRs and agile ways of working.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills; ability to align engineering, product and business stakeholders.
