Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable, performant backend services primarily in Go.
- Design and implement new microservices, and help migrate functionality from the Ruby monolith.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and data scientists to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Ensure system reliability and low latency through testing (TDD), observability and CI/CD practices.
- Contribute to platform tooling, infrastructure (Terraform, Kubernetes) and operational runbooks.
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions and mentoring of colleagues.

Requirements:
- 3+ years experience for mid-level, 5+ years for senior roles building scalable backend services.
- Practical experience with Go preferred; strong candidates using Python, Java, C++ or Ruby will be considered.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Strong engineering fundamentals, TDD/DDD approach and a focus on shipping reliable software quickly.
