Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain low-latency mapping and spatial services in Go to process high-volume coordinate streams.
- Implement map-matching, ETA prediction and routing logic to improve tracking accuracy and timeliness.
- Design microservices and data pipelines to handle noisy geospatial data with resilience and scalability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to validate models, optimise algorithms and integrate routing engines.
- Ensure system reliability under load with TDD, observability, profiling and performance tuning.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience for mid-level, 5+ years for senior roles building backend services; strong engineering fundamentals.
- Practical experience with Go preferable; other languages (C++, Python, Java, Ruby) accepted for strong candidates.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
- At least 1 year hands-on experience with mapping-related work: geospatial data processing, map-matching, routing graphs or ETA models.
- Nice to have: experience with OSRM or routing engines, C++ proficiency and familiarity with OpenStreetMap and geospatial datasets.
