Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services that drive business pricing and account plan selection.
- Lead and collaborate with engineers, product managers, data analysts and designers to improve pricing experience and scalability.
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects: plan, implement, test, deploy, and monitor live features.
- Write testable code and apply testing strategies (unit and integration tests); participate in code reviews and mentor peers.
- Make data-driven decisions to prioritise improvements that reduce customer pain points and improve conversion/retention.
- Contribute to team culture and process improvements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in Java, Kotlin, or another JVM language.
- Strong experience with the Spring framework, relational databases, and distributed/concurrent systems (e.g., Kafka).
- Proven experience with testing strategies, code reviews, and writing maintainable production code.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Product mindset with focus on customer outcomes and ability to work independently to drive projects to completion.
