Responsibilities:
- Lead design and implementation of the observability platform, integrating telemetry, monitoring and CI systems (DataDog, OpenTelemetry, GitHub Actions, AWS).
- Build automation to speed diagnostics and reduce manual effort; leverage AI/LLM tools to assist root-cause analysis and recommendations.
- Operate and optimise the platform for reliability, performance, cost-efficiency and governance; define standards and runbooks.
- Monitor production health, respond to incidents, perform troubleshooting and drive continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to prioritise observability work and deliver scalable solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of SaaS engineering experience with strong observability and DevOps background; experience with DataDog is advantageous.
- Proficiency with CI/CD, IaC tools, Kubernetes and AWS fundamentals.
- Understanding of telemetry best practices (metrics, traces, logs), security and SRE principles.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools for diagnostics and automation; excellent cross-team communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, solution-oriented and fluent in professional-level English.
