Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and operate distributed backend services that handle large-scale, low-latency workloads.
- Deliver features end-to-end: design, coding, testing, deployment and monitoring in a cloud-native environment.
- Build real-time APIs and services to support AI-driven conversational systems and high-throughput data processing.
- Implement resilient, fault-tolerant patterns and ensure system observability and performance at scale.
- Work with infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) to automate deployments and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with product, frontend and infra teams; contribute to architecture and best practices.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years backend engineering experience with production systems.
- Proficiency in at least one: Java (17+), Python or Node.js.
- Experience designing and operating systems for millions of users or high-throughput real-time services.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures (AWS or similar), containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS).
- Familiarity with message brokers, streaming (e.g., Kafka), caching (e.g., Redis), CI/CD and observability tooling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
