About the role
Responsibilities:
- Own and build core backend services ensuring permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.
- Design, manage, and deploy architectures for both hosted and self-hosted environments using IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Improve production reliability, performance, and security through monitoring, testing, and remediation.
- Partner with product teams to deliver features while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
- Apply AI-native development practices to accelerate safe, high-quality releases.
Requirements:
- 1–6 years professional backend experience with production TypeScript and NestJS.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma in production.
- Experience managing deployments with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC tools.
- Demonstrated work improving observability, auditability, reliability, or security in production systems.
- Practical exposure to AI/ML or large language model systems.
- Willingness to work on-site in Berlin and operate in a small, fast-moving engineering team.
