Responsibilities:
- Build backend features for the Grow & Engage domain (signup, memberships, user engagement).
- Own the full feature lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Designers to translate user needs into backend systems.
- Maintain scalable, secure services in a microservice architecture and contribute to operational excellence.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, propose improvements during Get Stuff Done Days (GSDD), and stay current with tech trends.
- Prioritize individual deliverables while supporting team goals and code quality.
Requirements:
- Production experience with a JVM language and Spring Boot; Kotlin is a plus.
- Practical understanding of microservice architecture and building scalable systems.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (Postgres preferred).
- Experience or appreciation for modern cloud architectures, preferably AWS.
- Strong focus on writing well-tested, well-documented code and attention to security.
- Bias for action, ability to give and receive direct feedback, and collaborative mindset.
