Responsibilities:
- Own design and implementation of backend services powering AI-driven supply chain planning and execution.
- Architect data models and build pipelines to ingest, normalize and organize complex, unstructured real-world logistics data.
- Ensure real-time request processing and high reliability; design for low latency and operational resilience.
- Write and optimize high-performance SQL and data access patterns for large datasets.
- Deliver production-grade services with automated tests, CI/CD and observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
- Collaborate closely with product, ops and engineering to translate logistics workflows into software features.
- Maintain runbooks, deployment processes and incident response to support 24/7 uptime.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a strong product delivery record.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI) and testing with pytest.
- Deep SQL skills, including writing performant queries and working with large-scale datasets.
- Experience designing scalable data architectures and operating backend systems end-to-end.
- Comfortable handling messy, unstructured data and building ingestion/normalization pipelines.
- Experience with AI-assisted code generation tools and automating development workflows is a plus.
- Strong system design instincts, autonomous decision-making and familiarity with AWS and DevOps practices.
- Willingness to work on-site in Munich and engage across product and operations teams.
