Responsibilities:
- Join a cross-functional team to design, build and operate the Trading Platform across the full trading lifecycle (order intake, validation, execution, status updates, post-trade processing).
- Develop reliable, low-latency backend services using Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot in an event-driven, distributed environment.
- Design clear service APIs, integrate with trading venues and internal platforms, and ensure correct handling of time-sensitive financial data.
- Take ownership from design to production: implement, test, deploy, monitor and continuously improve services and runbooks.
- Ensure high standards for correctness, performance, availability, security and auditability.
- Improve engineering practices: observability, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and developer experience.
- Collaborate with product, ops, risk and other engineering teams to translate trading processes into resilient software models.
Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong production experience with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot building backend services.
- Solid understanding of distributed, event-driven systems and domain-driven design for financial flows.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB) and designing for high throughput/low latency.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), containerisation (Docker), IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ownership of end-to-end features including testing, monitoring and incident response.
- Good communication skills and experience working in autonomous agile teams.
- Experience in financial or trading systems is highly desirable.
