Responsibilities:
- Join a cross-functional team to design, implement and operate Scalable Capital’s trading platform across the full trading lifecycle (order intake, validation, execution, status updates, post-trade).
- Develop reliable, low-latency backend services using Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot in a distributed, event-driven architecture.
- Build and maintain integrations with internal platforms and external trading venues to ensure correct, time-sensitive processing.
- Own features end-to-end: architecture, implementation, automated tests, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and runbooks.
- Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, security and developer experience through automation and reviews.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong professional experience building production backend services with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
- Solid knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, domain-driven design and API design.
- Practical experience with relational and NoSQL stores (Postgres/MySQL/DynamoDB), AWS, Docker, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring/observability, performance tuning, and building auditable, secure financial services.
- Bonus: prior experience in trading/financial systems or low-latency event processing.
