Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and operate backend services for the trading lifecycle (order intake, validation, execution, status, post-trade).
- Build reliable, scalable, and observable microservices using Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot in an event-driven architecture.
- Create clear domain models and APIs in collaboration with product, risk, ops and other engineering teams.
- Integrate with internal platforms and external trading venues to process time-sensitive market data and orders.
- Own features end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring and incident response.
- Improve platform quality by raising standards for reliability, automation, observability and developer experience.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong professional experience building production services with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven design and domain-driven design principles.
- Practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres/MySQL/DynamoDB), AWS and containerised deployments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling and operational best practices.
- Experience with API design, gRPC/Protobuf or similar RPC/serialization frameworks and working on latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems.
